This webinar identifies and explores how sexual harassment is related to child safeguarding and a healthy culture. At Telios Law PLLC we are seeing unprecedented levels of allegations and misconduct in areas that are supposed to be safe and secure—schools, churches, families—which also creates existential threats to the organization. To build the Church, we have to keep the next generation safe. But it’s not just the children. For a healthy ministry or even workplace, the culture of safety and protection should operate throughout the organization. This existential danger also presents an incredible opportunity: people will go to where they find safety and healing. To that end, it’s important to consider sexual harassment as well as child safeguarding. They are closely related, and sometimes even overlap. By promoting a culture of protection, the Church can foster healing, keep people safe, and strengthen the organization.
