Child Protection Cohort: Strengthening Your Ministry Through Abuse Prevention - Spring 2025

Description
The ECAP Cohort will provide support for ministry leaders to help them develop ECAP-compliant policies and procedures for Children's and Youth Ministry. The Cohort is a five-month program that equips leaders to consider, develop, implement, and review safety policies that reflect the Child Safety Standards of the Evangelical Council for Abuse Prevention. This will be accomplished through required readings of assigned books, cohort discussions designed to apply knowledge into practice, and assignments that will help you understand the fundamentals of creating and implementing a child safety policy. Cohort discussions are 1.5 hours, once a month, for five months. Students are expected to have completed required assignments before the discussion and participate during discussions.
Schedule:
January 9 - Standard 1: Governance
February 13 - Standard 2: Child Safety Operations
March 13 - Standard 3: Screening
April 10 - Standard 4: Training
May 8 - Standard 5: Response
Participants are expected to attend all five sessions.

The class will meet on the second Thursday of each month from 3:00PM - 4:30PM CT.
